One of only two TS1 tracks that is unavailable in TS2. Norgate's sci-fi leitmotif from this track is heard again on the TS1 Virtual Tileset track. One of the eight TS1 tracks available in TSFP. " How do you write music for a village? No idea, and to me, this sounds more like Delerium." - Norgate. This is a shorter version of the original piece. The original version of this track is listed as "TS1 - Chinese" in TS2, and "TS1 - Chinese Restaurant" in TSFP in the sequels, the length was changed from 3:25 to 4:50. The end for this has been edited in TS2 to be shorter. However, the selection is not complete, with Future Perfect in particular lacking some cues. Graeme Norgate also has the music to the TimeSplitters games, as well as many of the other videogames he has scored, on his own website. It is still available for free elsewhere online. However, since the company was bought out by Crytek, the website has closed down and the music is no longer traceable from the developers themselves. The website also offered printable album artwork. The majority of the music from all three TimeSplitters games was available for download, free of charge, from Free Radical Design's web page. Moreover, some Challenges in the two sequels have different music to what the level would usually feature. In all three games, each Arcade and Story level has its own background music, but in TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters Future Perfect, you can select what background music you want in an Arcade Custom match, which is not an option in TimeSplitters 1. Indeed, the "Spaceship" track from the original TimeSplitters is notably similar to some of Perfect Dark's Skedar-themed music. Norgate also worked on many famous video games made by Rare for the Nintendo 64, such as GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. Each game in the TimeSplitters series has its own unique soundtrack, mostly created by composer Graeme Norgate, although he was aided by Ross Tregenza from Goteki and Christian Marcussen in TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters Future Perfect.
